Miles-platts are moving!
We're pleased to announce that we are moving to new premises. The current site has served us well for the past 28 years however the area has been re-zoned for residential development and that means we have to move to another part of Leicester.
Although we're not planning to be in the new factory until the end of May 2007, we wanted to let you know about the move and our investment strategy well in advance so you are aware about our exciting plans.
The new factory is located just south of the city in 'Blaby' and is a modern single span construction building which will allow us to put all of our staff and production under one roof- if you are familiar with our Abbey Park Road site, you will know that we are spread across several buildings.
Blaby is conveniently located close to junction 21 of the M1 and the new factory will provide many benefits to our staff and customers. We are planning to keep disruption to a minimum and expect to move without any affect to our quality or delivery performance.
When we move, we are also taking the opportunity to replace some of our older moulding machines with new, higher capability machines giving us an even better level of control and precision than ever before. The new machinery and premises will enhance our excellent reputation as a technical moulder along with ensuring we remain competitive long into the future.
In addition to updating our address details, the move will mean that we need to have new telephone numbers however we will be back in contact over the next few weeks to give you all the necessary information as things develop.
